Lifeline
was established in 1980, and soon became the leading manufacturer
and supplier of on-board fire systems to the racing car
industry.
Lifeline took the pioneering route of introducing a lightweight,
environmentally friendly, foam extinguishing agent - Zero
2000.
- Zero 2000 was specifically blended for use in motorsport
and provides better adhesion to surfaces when discharged,
thus preventing re-ignition. Zero 2000 is the product
of rigorous testing and development, rather than off-the-shelf
foam designed for commercial and domestic use.
- Lifeline cylinders are fabricated from high quality
aluminium, using spun end-caps and a rolled centre section
to ensure greater structural integrity. All cylinders
undergo hydraulic and pneumatic leak tests and are British
Lloyds certified.
- Zero 2000 nozzles were developed in conjunction with
a leading manufacturer specifically for the application
of Zero 2000 foam. A redesigned tip gives a full cone
pattern, offering increased levels of protection. Unlike
some nozzles, Zero 2000 nozzles work just as effectively
after several discharges.
- Lifeline's patented dip tubes are the most flexible
available ensuring total contents discharge, even if the
cylinder is inverted. The materials used ensure high levels
of efficiency and prohibit electrolysis from corroding
the cylinder (unlike some other brands).
- Lifeline kits are supplied with more components than
most, for example a saloon/rally kit includes a bulkhead
fitting, pipe clips and spark stickers for a neater and
more efficient installation. All kit components have been
rigorously tested and chosen for quality, reliability
and ease of use.
- Lifeline uses only specialist electrical connectors
that reduce the risk of electrical interference and therefore
accidental discharge.
High quality push-in pipe fittings from the market leading
manufacturer are supplied to allow easier installation.
- Lifeline electrical firing heads use a break seal mechanism
- there are no moving parts ensuring maximum reliability.
- Lifeline uses only aluminium brackets, fitted with high
security stainless steel straps and over-centre clips
for increased strength.
- Lifeline offers an after sales service that is second
to none, including a full range of spares and accessories
and our unique 24 hour emergency refilling service. Knowledgeable
staff are always on hand to assist and advise.
- Tamper-proof seals on Zero 2000 systems ensure that
customers receive systems just as they left the factory.
- In addition to the standard range Lifeline offers a
bespoke service, including special bottle fabrication
in either aluminium or carbon fibre to your own specification
and specialist kits (e.g. automatic kits with flame detectors
and audible warning alarms etc.)
