The engine mount kit comes from Peugeot Sport and is the group A kit.
This rigidly mounts the engine and gearbox. In order you dont leave the engine and gearbox resting on the sumpguard its a good idea to re-enforce the gearbox mounting area on the chassis rail. As you can see 2.5mm plate has been cut and welded into position to spread the load. The mounting itself has been cut and altered as we will mount the battery in the car somewhere.
Strutbrace, you need one, it stops the inner wings folding in on themselves when you land after a jump etc.
We have taken advantage of the front suspension triangulation and welded a tube directly from one side to the other.

In order to keep lots of space in the engine bay the bar is sitting under the lip of the bulkhead seam as shown.
It is not the best area for a strutbrace, but, with the strut top directly tied into the cage it will have to be a pretty serious accident to move the strut between the cage triangulation and the chassis leg!.
To make sure we have full effect of the strut brace we have added these flitches to each side. This is welded to the strut mount. If that lot moves...... well...... its been one hell of a spectacular crash!!!
A view from the rear now almost complete.

And and view from the side.
If you want a shell preparing then we can do the same for you, or to your spec, whatever.....
